Building a Stronger and More Sustainable Steel Industry
The Malaysia Steel Institute (MSI) is the nation's dedicated industry development agency for the iron and steel sector. Established through a collaborative partnership between the Government and industry, MSI is supported and funded by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) on a shared responsibility basis with the Malaysian iron and steel industry.
As the industry's central knowledge and development platform, MSI works closely with government agencies, manufacturers, industry associations, research institutions and other stakeholders to strengthen the competitiveness, resilience and long-term sustainability of Malaysia's steel sector.
Through research, policy support, standards development, workforce initiatives and industry engagement, MSI helps create an ecosystem that enables the Malaysian steel industry to remain competitive in an evolving global market while contributing to national economic growth.
