Background

The successful implementation of the Steel Industry Roadmap 2035 will ultimately depend on the availability of a skilled, adaptable, and future-ready workforce. While human capital development is not specifically identified as a standalone priority under the Steel Industry Roadmap 2035, MSI considers workforce capability to be a critical enabler supporting the delivery of the roadmap's objectives, particularly in productivity, digitalisation, advanced manufacturing and decarbonization.

This programme is therefore proposed by MSI to strengthen the industry's talent pipeline, leadership capabilities, and workforce readiness in support of long-term industry competitiveness and sustainability.
